1. US: Non-farm payrolls increased by 4.8 million after the quarterly adjustment in June, a record high, compared with an increase of 2.509 million. Employment in the leisure and hotel sectors rose sharply in June, while employment in retail trade, education, health services, services, manufacturing, professional and business services also increased significantly, according to the Labor Department.

2.Five national football associations expressed their willingness to bid for the 2027 Asian Cup before the June 30th deadline. Those interested in bidding for the 2027 Asian Cup are India, Iran, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan. The Asian Football Federation will assist the five national football associations in submitting the necessary bid materials and will determine the host in 2021.

3. Economists at S & P global ratings issued a statement taking a more pessimistic view of the UK economic recovery, with GDP expected to shrink 8.1 % this year and grow 6.5 % next year.

4. The economic and trade authorities of 12 countries, including China, Singapore, Australia and Canada, issued a joint statement, proposing that export controls or tariff and non-tariff barriers should be avoided. And removing any existing trade restrictions on necessities, especially medical supplies.

5.A new study in the United States shows that brain organs can be infected by novel coronavirus. This means that novel coronavirus can infect human brain cells. The results are published online in the journal ALTEX: Animal Experimental alternatives.

6.TechWeb: SpaceX will work with NASA to send humans to Mars by 2030, said Robert Zublin, founder of the Mars Association. Zublin, Elon Musk’s mentor, is thought to have inspired Musk to set his sights on Mars.

7. Baltic dry bulk Index: rose 3.89% to 1894.

8. Major European indexes closed down across the board. Germany’s DAX index fell 92.76, drop of 0.74%, to 12515.70; Britain’s FTSE fell 85.96, drop of 1.38%, to 6154.40; and France’s CAC40 index fell 42.24, drop of 0.84%, to 5007.14.
